Leo the Lion Stargazing

Presented by Washoe County Regional Parks & Open Space

Join us as we learn about Leo the Lion! We’ll explore the history, mythology and other nearby Deep Sky Objects (DSO’s). In addition we’ll learn about other constellations and DSO’s that are visible within the Winter Circle. Following the AV program, we will have an opportunity for night sky observation of these objects with live telescopes and astrophotography.

We’ll have a few sets of binoculars available, but please feel free to bring your favorite pair. ASN members will also have telescopes available for public viewing. Flashlights with red filters, lawn chairs and warm clothes are also recommended!
